Summer Jazz Camp All Stars
Overview
New York-based, world-class jazz musicians who perform on the global stage serve as instructors for the music program “Summer Jazz Camp,” a program for young talents. The eight-member core teaching lineup will reunite to deliver the breath of authentic jazz in a supreme live performance that will once again be realized this year at Billboard Live Osaka and Billboard Live Yokohama. From performance technique and theory to the attitude toward music, their performances—having guided future jazz musicians—should allow viewers to feel the “now” and the “future” of jazz. On a summer night, don’t miss this supreme live that conveys the breath of genuine jazz.

Michael Dease (Tb)
Two-time Grammy Award–winning trombonist. Boasts a one-of-a-kind tone and exceptional technique. Also active as a leader of jazz camps.
Benny Benack III (Tp)
In addition to his powerful trumpet playing, he blends a smooth, lyrical singing voice with charismatic charm.
Diego Rivera (T.Sax)
An orthodox tenor saxophonist whose rich tone and Latin-influenced, passionate playing are his hallmarks.
Dan Nimmer (Pf)
Made his debut to wide acclaim as the pianist with the Wynton Marsalis Quintet. A capable pianist who also serves as the pianist for the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra.
Nakamura Kyoshi (Ba)
A Japanese bassist with exceptional talent and an indispensable presence in New York's jazz scene. One of the busiest jazz musicians in New York.
Quincy Davis (Dr)
A drummer popular in Japan as well. Known for his nimble and refined playing and for drawing attention on YouTube as Q-Tip.
Jocelyn Gould (Gt&Vo)
A Canadian JUNO Award–winning guitarist and vocalist who plays stylish, traditional jazz guitar.
Alicia Olatuja (Vo)
A singer popular in New York, renowned for weaving together jazz, blues, gospel, classical, pop, and Afro-pop genres.
