The Katsushika Trio — Tetsuo Sakurai, Akira Jimbo, and Minoru Mukaiya — at the forefront of Japan’s fusion scene, will appear at Billboard Live for the New Year. The trio formed in 2021 after two members appeared as guests at Akira Jimbo’s One-Man Orchestra show at Katsushika Symphony Hills. In July 2022, they released an EP featuring three new tracks and topped the Jazz charts on the iTunes Store.
