The British-born progressive rock legends ASIA have confirmed Japan performances at three Billboard Live venues. Formed as a supergroup by musicians who had already established themselves with Yes and King Crimson, they generated huge buzz, and their self-titled debut album became the best-selling album of 1982, spending nine consecutive weeks at No.1 on the Billboard charts. Since then they continued to shine, but original member John Wetton passed away in 2017. A memorial concert held in the summer of 2023 to celebrate his life became the catalyst for reforming ASIA, welcoming Virgil Donati on drums, John Mitchell on guitar, and Harry Whitley on vocals and bass. In spring 2025, under the direction of original member Geoff Downes, they toured the ASIA Heat of the Moment Tour to great acclaim; this time they plan to recreate the setlist from ASIA IN ASIA, performed at the Nippon Budokan in 1983, their first visit to Japan.
