Since making a dazzling debut in 2011 as Enjolras in the musical Les Misérables, Risei Uehara has been active as a musical theater actor and vocal artist. To commemorate his 15th anniversary since debut, he will hold a tour delivering two streams of songs: as a vocalist with the concept PRAY = “Pray” (祈る), and as an actor with the concept PLAY = “Play” (演じる).

For Billboard Live this time, he will present a special program composed solely of songs from the various roles he has played as an actor. After graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts, he has performed as a principal in numerous works such as Miss Saigon, Piaf, and Marie Antoinette, earning high praise for his presence, expressiveness, and solid singing ability. He will be joined by composer and keyboardist Makoto Miyazaki, and together they will deliver a stage that more deeply portrays the charm of the characters he portrays.
