Kunimondo Takiguchi and singer-songwriter Sincere form the unit RYUSENKEI, which will take the stage in a full-band lineup to mark its 25th anniversary. Since its start in a band format in 2001, Ryusenkei has released works featuring guest vocalists on each album. As the first release of Alpha Music’s revival in 2024, they issued the album Illusion, and it’s still fresh in memory that they appeared here at Billboard Live to accompany that work. Last year they released an all-time-best collection, Time Machine Love 2003-25, spanning from their indie days to the latest track, “Manatsu no Shunkan” (Midsummer Moment).
