The Yoshida Brothers have fused the traditional timbre of the Tsugaru shamisen with diverse genres—rock, electronica, jazz, and more—carving out their own unique musical world. On their nationwide tour “Gokusei,” launched to mark their 25th anniversary since debut in 2024, they pursue the raw power and delicate resonance unique to live performances with two Tsugaru shamisen, and this year they have continued to tour nationwide. Now they present a special session on the Billboard Live stage featuring taiko and shakuhachi. Look forward to the rich resonance of sound that connects Japan's tradition to the future.
