Sadao Watanabe, the lifelong “currently active” saxophonist who has been leading Japan’s jazz scene and continues to perform on the world’s front lines, will make another appearance at Billboard Live Osaka later this year, following his two-day engagement in September!

He’ll be joined by Russell Ferrante, Yellowjackets’ pianist; Ben Williams, the bassist whom Watanabe trusts most; and the prodigy drummer Takemura Ittetsu, a member of a Japan–U.S. mixed quartet that successfully performed in New York in 2019, to brighten this Christmas season once again. Look forward to the sublime ensemble resonating with lyrical, expansive saxophone playing.
