Lisa Ono, a pioneer of the Bossa Nova scene in Japan, will headline a three-city Billboard Live tour in 2024. She released her debut album Katopiri in 1989, and her 1999 album Dream sold over 200,000 copies. She has won the Japan Gold Disc Award in the Jazz category four times. Over the years she has cultivated close ties with the God of Bossa Nova, Antônio Carlos Jobim, and with the master of Jazz Samba, João Donato; in 2013, for her contributions to spreading Bossa Nova in Japan, the Brazilian government awarded her the National Order of Rio Branco, underscoring her immeasurable influence.
