An authentic voice of Japan’s hip-hop scene delivers an overwhelming groove in a band lineup that’s the talk of the town. Rhymester has specially assembled an eight-member band for their first-ever solo show at Billboard Live Osaka. Since forming in 1989, Rhymester has pioneered and continued to lead Japan’s hip-hop scene from its dawn. Consisting of Utamaru, Mummy-D, and DJ JIN, in a genuine 2MC+1DJ hip-hop style, they’ve earned the nickname “King of the Stage,” and have consistently demonstrated their presence through the quality of their live performances. Riding the wave of impact from the COVID era with MTV UNPLUGGED: RHYMESTER (BD/DVD/CD/STREAMING: 2021) as a catalyst, they formed a band. Since then, they’ve been performing band live sets before a limited jazz-club audience, with tickets selling out instantly, making it a talked-about show. This time, Rhymester Band makes its first visit to Osaka. On the Billboard Live Osaka stage, they will deliver an astonishing, groovy “King of the Stage” performance.
