Onuki fell in love with Yamagen’s song “Gion no Koi” and recorded it with newly added lyrics; their first collaboration appeared on the 2001 single “Anata o Omou to.” Since then, the two acts have toured together and built a collaboration spanning over 20 years, deepening their friendship.
