The trio led by Lars Jansson, a jazz pianist and composer who represents contemporary Europe, will be on stage at Billboard Live. Lars Jansson was born in 1951 in Örebro, a city in central Sweden. In addition to receiving the Jan Johansson Music Prize, awarded to outstanding Swedish jazz musicians, he has also discovered many gifted singers and players in his role as a producer. Since 1999, he has vigorously performed live across Japan, earning a large and devoted fan base. He has become one of the key figures behind the popularity of Nordic/Swedish jazz in Japan. In 2022, he was awarded by the Swedish Music Academy and was honored by the King of Sweden for his significant contributions to musical culture. For this visit to Japan as well, he will present a performance with a rock-solid lineup featuring Thomas Fonnesbeck on bass and his own son Paul Svanberry on drums.
