Studio Chizu, which has given the world numerous acclaimed animated classics such as Summer Wars and Belle, presents a new songbook, Uta no Jikan (Time for Singing), featuring songs newly conceived to illuminate the three films directed by Mamoru Hosoda for which Masakatsu Takagi composed the music—Wolf Children, The Boy and the Beast, and Mirai. The songbook has been completed, and a commemorative record-release live performance will be held at Billboard Live in May. Of the five lyricists who wrote lyrics specifically for this project, the two guest vocalists participating this time are Ann Sally and Hana Hope. Along with Takagi’s beautiful piano tones, an ensemble of four musicians, and the voices that bring the songs’ narratives to life, this performance invites listeners into a new world.
