Guitarist Shigeru Suzuki, who has left his mark on the history of Japanese rock, will stage a premium performance commemorating the 50th anniversary of his 1976 second album, LAGOON. Not only has he been active in the legendary bands Happy End and Tin Pan Alley—formed with Haruomi Hosono, Ritsuo Hayashi, and Masanori Matsutoya—but he has also performed with Shigeru Suzuki & Huckleback, and released numerous works as a solo artist, continuing to shape Japanese rock history for more than half a century. Recently, his signature Fender model has generated buzz. After last year’s hugely successful BAND WAGON release-commemorative concert at Billboard Live here, this performance marks the eagerly awaited second installment of the 50th anniversary celebration. This recording, made in Hawaii, features lyrics by Takashi Matsumoto, with Haruomi Hosono, Ritsuo Hayashi, and other Tin Pan Alley members contributing to most of the tracks.
