Renowned actor Satoshi Hashimoto, an indispensable figure in the theater world, makes his Billboard Live debut. In 1989, he joined the Gekidan☆Shinkansen. Since then, he has maintained a long and wide-ranging career, and especially in musicals, leveraging his captivating singing voice and versatile acting, he has played leading roles in renowned works such as the Engineer in Miss Saigon and Jean Valjean in Les Misérables. Now, he will stage his very first solo live performances in two cities: Yokohama and his hometown Osaka. In the Yokohama show, a special session featuring guest Ryuya Kawaguchi will be realized. This main performance, with a concept of looking back over his acting life and tracing the works and famous songs he has encountered, is a live show that, as the title “ALIVE” -act1- suggests, brings his past career into contact with future challenges. "This year I’m turning sixty—a year man (and even the 60-year Fire Horse!). And I’m in the middle of Yakudoshi! Even though it’s said to be a yakudoshi year for actors, I ended up having a purification blessing… No, this is not the time to be paying attention to roles in such an important year! Then again, I decided to finally pull myself together and look back at the roles I’ve played. I would be happy to share with you the many landscapes I’ve witnessed through the characters I’ve played.
