Overview
American roots-rock singer-songwriter Jason Isbell makes his debut here, fully displaying his talents. Raised with country and Southern rock as his background, he joined Drive-By Tractors in 2001 as a guitarist and songwriter, and remained a central member of the band until 2007. After going solo, he has released richly nuanced works that sing poetic lyrics in a sweet voice, and with Something More Than Free he achieved the remarkable feat of reaching No. 1 on the country, folk, and rock charts across the United States. More recently, he has been in high demand—contributing songs to the film A Star Is Born and being featured on Sheryl Crow's latest release in August 2019.
