Chiai Satō, the vocalist, guitarist, and lyricist/composer for the four-member band Kinoko Teikoku, makes an appearance. As a solo artist, she pushes a vocal style that contrasts with the band’s sound, releasing songs that fully showcase her exceptional expressiveness, and in 2018 she released her first EP. Although the band went on hiatus in 2019, she has continued to broaden her range by releasing a first album and by holding solo concerts. Moreover, her songs have been used as theme songs for films and other projects, further raising her profile. In August 2020 she challenged herself with her first livestream performance, continuing to sharpen her expressive power. The performance is the latest installment in the self-cover concept live series “VOICE,” which is renowned for its concept-driven shows.
