A singer-songwriter whose fresh melodic sensibility continues to captivate listeners, Keishi Tanaka returns to the Billboard Live stage for the first time in five years. He rose to prominence as the frontman of Riddim Saunter, who were highly regarded for their musicality, and after their breakup in 2011 he launched a solo career. He has drawn attention from recording with a variety of musicians, including Tokyo Recordings, fox capture plan, LEARNERS, and Ropes. From band sets in live houses and at outdoor festivals to halls, an 11-piece big band, and even intimate acoustic performances in small cafes, he performs around 100 shows a year in a style that does not restrict by venue or audience. Last December, he released a mini-album AVENUE, which includes the new track “The Smoke Is You,” produced by Kan Sano.

In addition to the three-piece acoustic set of drums, bass, and guitar-vocals, there is also a Billboard-exclusive arrangement featuring violin, viola, cello, three types of strings, and piano, ensuring a special space that you won’t normally get to experience.
