Salyu
Note: In response to the State of Emergency declaration issued by the Japanese government and Tokyo's request, we have decided to change the performance times. (Updated 8/19)
Overview
Salyu, whose unique voice—rich with shimmer and resonance—has continued to deliver memorable performances, takes the stage. Since debuting under the name Salyu in 2004, she has pursued new expressions through activities that defy rigid formats, including live performances in various configurations and collaborations. In 2021 as well, she stayed active, for example contributing to the soundtrack of the film “Zokki.” For this summer’s stage, a string quartet will be featured, and Kazunori Ichikawa (from Wool and the Flower), who has performed on numerous stages with her to date, will join on a gut-string guitar. The blend of diverse stringed instruments’ melodies with her singing will merge to create a refined sound that warmly envelops the venue, making this moment truly a blissful one.
