Terry Riley, the contemporary composer who has left his mark on music history as a founder of minimalist music, makes his first appearance on the Billboard Live Tokyo stage. Since starting his musical activities in the late 1950s in the San Francisco Bay Area, he has created many landmark recordings over a career spanning more than six decades, and is currently based in Japan. Breaking down genre barriers and actively engaging with world music, including Indian music, his music creates a new world that is one of a kind and has influenced many musicians. This time, the performance is truly premium, with different content for each stage, and for the 1st Stage we have also decided to welcome as opening act Kuriko Kushian, who has worldwide activity in the electro scene. Please witness the moment a new legend is born.
