Formed in 2005 as a unit of YUKA (Vo./Lyrics) and MASAKI (Composer). moumoon is a coined word created by combining the French mou (soft) and the English moon (moon), meaning “soft moon.” The 7th single released in May 2010, “Sunshine Girl,” became a smash hit, surpassing 1.3 million downloads.

On July 26, 2021, a memorial day marking the 15th anniversary of their debut, the digital single “Kimi no Tonari, Taiyō no Shita de” was released. On March 16, 2022 (Wednesday), they released the digital single “Mirai yo, Watashi o Oikakero” together with a Blu-ray release, FULLMOON LIVE SPECIAL 2021 ～Mid-Autumn Moon～.

The lineup features vocalist YUKA, with support from guitarist Ken’ichi Asami and pianist Keiri Shindo, delivering a relaxed, refined moment.
