The Japanese funk band FLYING KIDS will take the summer Billboard Live stage to celebrate the 60th birthdays of two members, Shiro Maruyama (Guitar) and Hiroyuki Nakazono (Drums). After serving as the original Grand King on TBS’s popular TV program Heisei Meibutsu TV: Miyake Yūji’s Ikasu Band Tengoku, they made their major debut in 1990 with “Shiawase de aru you ni” (To Be Happy). Since then they’ve racked up smash hits and rode through the scene. They re-formed in 2007 and, as pioneers of Japanese funk, have been actively performing on live stages and at events. Now a nine‑member powerhouse, they continue to dazzle and accelerate their momentum even further. On what is sure to be a funky, thrilling, top‑notch stage, please enjoy this commemorative celebration.
