Celebrating her 25th debut anniversary this year, Miu Sakamoto will hold an anniversary live concert with a lineup of luxurious guests. She made her singing debut in 1997 under the name “Ryuichi Sakamoto feat. Sister M,” and since then has begun full-fledged singing activities under her real name. In addition to her solo work, she has performed at many music festivals as part of the unit “Oo Ame” (Yuichi Ohata + Miu Sakamoto). Not limited to music, she has broadened her expressive range to include writing, narration, and theater. For this performance, joining as band members are the pianist Mamiko Hirai, who contributed to her solo album “birds fly” after about six and a half years, and the cellist Seigen Tokuzawa. The Osaka show will feature Tetsuya Komuro; Tokyo’s first-stage will feature Taeko Onuki; and Tokyo’s second-stage will feature Masashi Sada—each a guest with ties to Sakamoto. Look forward to a festive stage that envelops the venue with her warm, embracing singing and richly resonant tones.
