Joe Sumner, the UK-born singer-songwriter who began his music career as the bassist for Fiction Plane and also performs as a supporting member for his father, Sting, makes his Billboard Live debut. Having learned guitar and drums since his teens, he has released five albums with Fiction Plane to date. On The Police’s reunion tour, he was chosen as an opening act, and has drawn attention as a figure carrying on the UK music scene. In 2020, his solo track “Hope” was performed with Gaby Moreno and Sting as part of Joe Biden’s campaign, generating considerable buzz. A rare solo performance featuring his eagerly awaited new work “Sunshine In The Night,” due for release in early 2023, is not to be missed.
