Musician, festival founder, and actor Shigeru Izumiya, who has continued a powerful range of activities across many fields, makes his long-awaited Billboard Live debut. After his 1971 debut with “Shigeru Izumiya Debut,” the title track of the following year’s album Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter became a hit, and he quickly rose to prominence as a star of the folk world. In 1975, together with Takuro Yoshida, Hitoshi Komuro, and Yosui Inoue, he founded For Life Records, and gradually began to leverage his unique persona to venture into acting as well. Since then, in addition to music and acting, he has shown talent in the arts and remained active across a wide range of fields.
