This year marks the 10th anniversary of pianist-songwriter Ibuki Takai’s activities, and she will make her Billboard Live debut under the name “Ibuki Takai and the Sleeping Constellation,” joined by band members Sora Kimishima (Gt.), Kazuki Arai (Ba./King Gnu), and Wataru Sakata (Dr.). Takai began classical piano at age 5 and began to pursue her activities seriously in her late teens. The band setup, formed around the recording of the track “Kirinza” from her 2015 first mini-album yorU wo koeru, performed in 2016 at [Are You Coming to Summer Sonic!? 2016], and since then has continued to work on recordings and live performances together. Please enjoy the exquisite ensemble that arises when these sharp talents blend together.
