Masatoshi Nakamura, who has built a multi-faceted career as an actor and singer, takes the stage. In 1974, he made his debut as a leading actor in the drama Our Youth! and the insert song he sang for that drama, “Fureai,” sold over a million copies. Since then, he has appeared in numerous dramas and films, including more than 100 starring roles, and has continued to actively pursue singing, delivering many famous songs to the world, such as the drama’s theme song “Our Journey” and “Koibito mo Nureru Machikado,” written and composed by Keisuke Kuwata. His nationwide concerts, held every year since his debut, have surpassed 1,500 performances, and in recent years he has continued to take on new challenges, including collaborations with full orchestras.
