Overview
A rising star with a buzz-worthy, unique talent, the turbanned solo musician Maharajan makes his debut. Although completely unknown, his high musicality and humor-filled lyrics have sparked talk, and in March 2021 he made his major-label debut with 「セーラ☆ムン太郎」. His appearances on music programs and the popular YouTube channel THE FIRST TAKE drew widespread attention, and the major-debut CD released in July of the same year, 「僕のスピな☆ムン太郎」, earned the "Artist of the Year 2021" at Tower Records' <Tower Records Recommended Award 2021>. He was also nominated for the 14th CD Shop Award in 2022. In July 2022, he released his second album, 「正気じゃいられない」. He celebrated a major milestone with his first national solo concert since debut at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, to great success. His first nationwide solo tour, "Dream," across five cities, and his sold-out solo show at the Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall on Saturday, May 27, 2023. The cynical lyrics paired with a refined funk sound make for an addictive live show—definitely a must-see.
