Singer-songwriter Takaya Kawasaki, whose husky voice and beautiful vibrato are unforgettable after just one listen, and composer-arranger and music producer Satoshi Takebe will host a special session on stage. Kawasaki rose to prominence in 2020 with the social-media viral hit “Magic Carpet,” and last year he also delivered a successful performance at Billboard Live Tokyo, a memory still fresh. Takebe, who will share the stage with him, has worked as a keyboardist and arranger for numerous artists and has served as the musical director for Yumi Matsutoya’s concert tours since 1983. He has produced for Hitoto Yo, Mika Imai, Yuzu, Ken Hirai, JUJU, and he also contributed to Studio Ghibli’s Kokuriko-zaka Kara (From Up on Poppy Hill). Recently, he has broadened his activities, including as the music supervisor for the film The First Slam Dunk and as the music director for Yuzuru Hanyu ICE STORY 2023 “GIFT.” The premium session, brought to life by the two who shared the stage last year, is a must-see.
