Flying KIDS, Japan’s leading funk band, will again take the Billboard Live stage this year to celebrate member Kazuo Fushijima’s 60th birthday (bass, vocals). After serving as the first Grand King on TBS’s popular TV program Heisei Meibutsu TV: Miyake Hiroshi’s Ikasu Band Heaven, they made their major debut in 1990 with “Shiawase de Aru you ni” (So That I May Be Happy). Since then they’ve produced numerous smash hits. After reuniting in 2007, they expanded to a nine-member lineup and have continued to actively perform at live shows and events.
