OAU is a six-member acoustic band formed by all the members of BRAHMAN—TOSHI-LOW (vocals, bouzouki, acoustic guitar), KOHKI (acoustic guitar), MAKOTO (double bass), RONZI (drums)—along with violinist and frontman MARTIN (vocals, violin, acoustic guitar) and percussionist KAKUEI (percussion). Their organic sound, deftly weaving in traditional and roots music, combines delicacy and dynamism in performances that captivate many audiences. They have played at some of Japan’s largest festivals and overseas, and since 2010 they have served as the organizers of the camping festival New Acoustic Camp. In recent years they have begun moving onto new stages, taking on numerous theme songs for TV dramas and films. In April 2023, as OAU, they released their second full-length album, “Tradition.” We invite you to fully experience their evolving, majestic, one-of-a-kind organic sound in an intimate club space.
