Overview
World-renowned drummer Gota Yashiki, Shinichi Osawa—active as MONDO GROSSO and as a DJ—and the national-treasure–level dub engineer DUB MASTER X form the core of the special unit Gota Yashiki & The Dub Messengers, and they are back on stage. Led by Kyoto-born Yashiki, this band was formed in 2022 for the 10th-anniversary party of KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photography Festival. Since then, with powerful players joining each time, they have delivered experimental live performances that fuse jazz and dub. For this fourth show, the seven-piece lineup includes, in addition to the three aforementioned members, first-time participants 石坂慶彦(p), 會田茂一(g), SAKIEL(tp), and 元晴(sax). With the country’s top-tier talent assembled, audiences can expect an unknown sound that continues to evolve with every performance.
