Salt&Sugar was formed by Tetsu Shioya, who after serving as the pianist for Orquesta de la Luz has pursued a wide range of activities including AGA-SHIO and Dandyism Banquet, and by Takezen Sato, a top vocalist renowned for his broad musicality and solid singing ability. They weave sound in a distinctive style that spans Jazz to Pop. When these two meet on stage, the studio’s precise, academic music gives way to powerful, improvised performances driven by aggressive improvisation. What kind of fervent performance will they deliver on the spring 2024 stage? There is growing anticipation for the bold approaches of Tetsu Shioya’s Jazz & Classical-based music and Takezen Sato’s Rock & Pop-based music.
