Formed in 2022 for the 10th-anniversary special party of [KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photography Festival], Gota Yashiki & The Dub Messengers, who made their Billboard Live debut last year, will return for the first time since January 2024.

Centered around drummer Gota Yashiki, who has thrived across nationalities and genres, with core members including Soul II Soul and Simply Red—acts that rose to the UK mainstream from the pioneering Japanese dub group MUTE BEAT—and featuring bassist Shinichi Osawa (MONDO GROSSO leader and DJ) and the renowned dub engineer DUB MASTER X, they continually bring in strong players to deliver experimental live performances that fuse jazz and dub.

This fifth show will add to the aforementioned three: pianist Keihiko Ishizaka, guitarist Shoichi Aida, and Motoharu, the saxophonist formerly with SOIL & “PIMP” SESSIONS, plus the 22-year-old trumpeter Renya Terakubo, forming a luxurious lineup.
