Shusaku Yanagida, Kiichi Yoshida, Gaku Kiriki, and Ryosuke Kurokawa form a four-piece rock band, Kamisama wa Saikoro o Furanai, and they make their Billboard Live debut. The band’s name is derived from a quote by Albert Einstein, the father of modern physics: “to keep creating sounds that don’t fit the mold, that no one else can produce,” and since their formation in 2015 they have been carving out their own path according to the absolute “laws” they’ve set for themselves. Their 2019 release 夜永唄 drew attention during the COVID-19 era, and national tours sold out one after another. Since their major debut in 2020 with the digital single 泡沫花火, they have released a string of works while collaborating with various artists such as Ayuni-D (PEDRO), n-buna ( Yorushika ), and Tatsuya Kitani. Beyond tours, they have been actively involved in festivals and singing on commercial tracks. Next year, 2025, will be a double anniversary year—10 years since formation and 5 years since debut. A premium club performance that reveals the current state of “Kami-Sai” is not to be missed.
