Born in 1996 and hailing from Hokkaido, actress Toko Miura makes her Billboard Live debut. She debuted in 2002 in a Suntory “Natchan” commercial. After a child-actor career, she has appeared in numerous works, including the dramas Suzuki-sensei, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, The 13 Lords of Kamakura, Brush Up Life, and the films Hidamari no Kanojo (Her Sunshine), Watashitachi no Ha-Ha (Our Ha-Ha), Tsukiko, and Sobakasu (Freckles).

Drive My Car, which won the Best International Feature Film at the 94th Academy Awards, has seen Miura herself receive numerous awards as well, including the 45th Japan Academy Prize Newcomer Award, establishing her as one of the most notable actors today.

At the same time, she is also a singer with a remarkable voice, and in Makoto Shinkai’s Weathering With You she contributed vocals to a RADWIMPS song, which became a major topic of discussion.
