The Verbs
feat. Steve Jordan, Meegan Voss, Tamio Okuda and Chris Bruce
Overview
Formed in 2004 by legendary drummer/producer Steve Jordan and Megan Vos, a singer-songwriter and the founder of American girl-band pioneers The Pop-Tarts and The Antoinettes, who were regulars at New York’s famous CBGBs, The Verbs. The group also made headlines in 2010 when Tamio Okuda officially joined as a member, and it was announced that they would undertake a Japan tour that includes three Billboard Live venues!
The band has released three albums to date on Jay-Vee Records: their debut And Now The Verbs was released by JVC Japan, while the subsequent two albums Trip and Cover Story were released in collaboration with Sony Music Japan. Over the years they have welcomed contributions from notable musicians such as Danny Coachmar, Pino Palladino, and Willie Weeks, delivering a diverse range of music. For this tour, Chris Bruce will appear on bass for the Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hiroshima performances, while Willie Weeks will join as the bassist for the Yokohama show. They are also set to perform new songs from the upcoming album Garage Sale. Look forward to the versatile, ever-changing performances shaped by each musician’s unique character.
