Virginia-born legendary drummer, composer, and producer Nate Smith takes the stage at Billboard Live in a luxurious trio featuring Keifer and Cartoons, two players who are at the forefront of the current beat scene. Nate's intuitive, deeply expressive drumming has earned three Grammy nominations and commands the respect of renowned artists such as Pat Metheny, Brittany Howard, and Norah Jones. In 2021, he released Kinfolk 2: See The Birds, the follow-up to the 2017 Grammy-nominated Kinfolk, which generated a great deal of buzz. Keifer, who last year played a sold-out show here at Billboard Live, joins on keyboards, with Cartoons on bass—Cartoons having drawn wide attention for collaborations with Mac Ayres—for a seasoned performance.
