An additional Tokyo show has been added to SIX LOUNGE’s Billboard Live Tour.

Formed in 2012 around Yamaguchi Yūmori (guitar/vocals) and Nagamatsu Shintarō (drums), the current lineup was completed when Iwao Riku (bass) joined in 2015. In the same year, they signed with the indie label THE NINTH APOLLO, which also produced My Hair is Bad and Hump Back, and in April 2018 they made their major debut on Universal Music’s ZEN MUSIC.

They craft a rock-and-roll sound that blends melodies with a pop-inflected melancholia, driven by Yamaguchi’s emotional vocals, while absorbing diverse musical influences yet staying true to their core. They have performed at numerous major music festivals, and their own tours have frequently sold out, quickly establishing themselves as a leading force in Japan’s rock scene.

In 2022, marking their 10th anniversary, they announced their move to Sony Music Labels, and have also pursued anime tie-ins, including for My Hero Academia and Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War.

The track “Rika,” from their 2016 album Shinonome, has in recent years sparked a viral hit on social media, topping Billboard JAPAN’s “TikTok Weekly Top 20” and drawing attention as a new signature song.

Continuing to be active with vigor and expanding the possibilities of Japanese-language rock, their latest stage is a precious club performance delivered in an acoustic setup. Enjoy the superb ensemble up close and immerse yourself in the emotionally rich world of their lyrics.
