Gentle Forest Jazz Band is a 21-piece big band that blends danceable swing jazz with a contemporary perspective to deliver new entertainment. This time they take the Billboard Live stage in a special program tracing the band’s 20-year history. Formed in 2005 around Gentle Kubota, the trombonist from Zainichi Funk, the band comprises 17 instrumentalists and a three-member vocal group, delivering an exciting, laughter-filled live performance that has continued to captivate audiences. Their activities, unconstrained by genre, span film, commercials, and variety shows, and they are currently widely regarded as one of the busiest big bands in Japan.
