Masatoshi Nakamura, who has enjoyed broad popularity as both an actor and a singer and who last year celebrated his 50th anniversary since debut, will again hold his Billboard Live Tour this year to great acclaim. In 1974, he made his debut as the lead actor in the drama Ware-ra Seishun! and the insert song he sang for that drama, “Fureai,” sold more than one million copies. Since then, while appearing in numerous dramas and films, he has continued his vigorous activity as a singer, releasing many memorable songs, including the dramas’ theme songs “Oretachi no Tabi” and “Koibito mo Nureru Machikado,” which served as theme songs for dramas.
