Grammy-nominated trumpeter/composer/producer/bandleader Theo Croker will bring his eagerly awaited Japan debut to Billboard Live! Carrying his latest album, DREAM MANIFEST, he will present a special show that can only be experienced in Japan.

Described by the Los Angeles Times as “the path toward the next summit in jazz,” he remains rooted in jazz tradition while blending experimental hip-hop, cosmic soul, and innovative sound design to continually redefine contemporary jazz. The latest work includes the energetic “We Still Wanna Dance” produced by D’LEAU, the soulful “High Vibrations” featuring Malaya, and the hypnotic “Crystal Waterfalls,” among a diverse set of tracks.

The Wall Street Journal has called it a timeless masterpiece, and Jazzwise praised the success of his London show as a “stunning performance.” With legendary trumpeter Doc Cheatham as his grandfather, he emerged early and has been active as a leading figure in the modern jazz world. In 2019, his album “Star People Nation” was Grammy-nominated, captivating many listeners with its expansive vision. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as J. Cole, Common, Ari Lennox, Wyclef Jean, and Jill Scott, and his expressive abilities are highly regarded across genres. He has also appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts, and has overwhelmed audiences with live sets that deftly weave in emotion.
