Teedra Moses, whose voice embodies the 2000s R&B scene, makes her Billboard Live debut at last.
Without relying on major labels or big PR, she has spent more than 20 years as an independent artist, selling out shows around the world.
Her debut album, Complex Simplicity, released in 2004, earned high praise for numerous tracks, including the beloved "Be Your Girl," and remains loved as an R&B classic to this day.
In addition to Grammy nominations, she has won BMI Song of the Year twice.
She is also known for writing songs for numerous top artists such as Mary J. Blige, Raphael Saadiq, Kelly Rowland, Macy Gray, and her collaborations with the likes of Rick Ross and Kaytranada have demonstrated the breadth of her expressive range.
In recent years, she has celebrated the 20th anniversary of Complex Simplicity with a successful tour, appearances on NPR Tiny Desk and A COLORS SHOW, and the release of the reimagined Complex Simplicity (Reimagined), marking milestones in her career in grand fashion.
