Jefferson Starship

Overview

The legendary American rock band Jefferson Starship will hold their highly anticipated concert in Japan. Formed in 1974 by key members of Jefferson Airplane, their second album Red Octopus—featuring the single “Miracles,” which peaked at No. 3 in the United States—reached No. 1 in the United States. Since then, with several lineup changes and evolving sound, they have released hits such as “Count on Me,” “Runaway,” and “Jane.” Currently led by original member David Freiberg, they released in 2020 their first new EP in 12 years, “Mother of the Sun,” dedicated to the late Paul Kantner, who had steered the band since the Jefferson Airplane era. It promises to be a premium live experience for all rock fans, as they witness the band’s latest performance from a group that has long stood at the forefront of the scene.
