Debuting on the scene, Cody・Lee (Li), a band drawing attention in both domestic and international music scenes, has risen to prominence since forming in 2018 through listeners’ word-of-mouth and their energetic live performances. In 2020 they founded their own independent label, sakuramachi records, named after a place name in Iwate Prefecture where Takahashi hails from, and released their first nationwide-distribution album, News of Life; the music video for the lead track “I Love You” drew worldwide attention. In May 2022 they made their major-label debut with Heartbeats, Love Letters, and Kindness, which includes the film Summer Film’s theme song “Aliens and Tropical Nights” among other tracks. Since then, their eight-city nationwide tour has sold out, they’ve appeared at major festivals such as Fuji Rock Festival, and they've achieved successful overseas performances as well, a momentum that shows no signs of slowing. With lyrics that conjure vivid landscapes and a uniquely colorful sound, this band colors listeners’ lives and offers a one-night-only premium stage you won’t want to miss.
