Grammy-winning bassist and singer-songwriter Esperanza Spalding’s first Japan tour in about seven years, with additional performances scheduled at Billboard Live Tokyo due to popular demand! Over her career, she has released eight albums and has won five Grammys, including Best New Artist and Best Jazz Vocal Album. Her activities extend beyond music: in Portland, Oregon, she is the co-founder and curator of 501(c)(3) <Prismid Inc.>, which operates a workshop space; with her dance company <Off Brand gOdds> and <Songwrights Apothecary Lab>, she leads performances, workshops, education, and research in therapeutic arts. This August, a collaboration album with Milton Nascimento, the living legend of Brazilian music, is also set for release.
