Formed by three bandmates who have been friends since high school—guitarist Yuji Toriyama, drummer Akira Jinbo, and pianist Hirotaka Izumi—the group PYRAMID. Even after Izumi’s sudden passing in 2021, the two remaining members continued the project, and in recent years they have been steadily releasing new songs toward a new album. Their collaborations with young musicians span a wide range, and they continue to push forward and evolve. Now they bring the second installment of their well-received project Gracenotes to Billboard Live Tokyo and Osaka. Grounded in the 1970s crossover, funk, and R&B that deeply influenced them, they will present a superb sound.
