BLU-SWING, a five-piece band that continues to explore a distinctive jazz-rooted sound, makes its second appearance following last year’s show. In 2008 they made their major debut with the album Revision, reaching No. 1 on major record stores’ club charts and No. 3 on the J-Pop chart. Since then they have released a wide range of works—live albums, production projects, and more—domestically and internationally, steadily building their career. They have earned international recognition as well, with appearances at Japan Festivals across Asia—including Indonesia and Vietnam—and by serving as the concertmaster at the Royal Opera House in London and as the backing band for Vasco Vassilev. In recent years they’ve broadened their activities further, including a successful headlining tour across nine cities in China and appearances at domestic and international festivals. BLU-SWING is a contemporary, ongoing collaboration where each member’s solo work intersects with the band’s collective expression at a high level. In 2025 they will release their latest album, GOODTIMES, and we look forward to experiencing that evolved sound on stage.
