Tommy Guerrero, a true street artist who has had a profound impact on street scenes worldwide as a charismatic skater and, at the same time, has earned strong support from music fans with his originality-rich sound, makes his Billboard Live debut. Born in San Francisco, he began his career as the youngest member of the legendary skateboarding team Bones Brigade, and with his outstanding style and commanding presence, established himself as a definitive original street skater. Since then, he has fully pursued music. His debut album, Loose Grooves & Bastard Blues, released in 1998, became a long-selling release and earned high praise in the music scene. He has continued to release works on labels such as Galaxia and Mo' Wax, and to date has released 11 original albums. In recent years, with each release he has mounted large-scale tours, and he has actively performed live across Japan. His self-penned track “Mayo (It Gets Heavy)” was used in a Kewpie commercial, broadening his recognition, and he stands as a uniquely charismatic presence with enormous popularity in Japan’s street culture scene. In this coming Japan performance, with longtime collaborator Josh Lippi on bass, he will deliver an exquisite live experience that invites the audience to a momentary escape from reality.
