GLIM SPANKY, a two-person, male- and female-fronted rock duo from Nagano Prefecture, will make their first appearance at Billboard Live Tokyo. The sound they create—formed by vocalist Remi Matsuo, who possesses a husky, one-of-a-kind voice, and guitarist Kamemoto Hiroki, whose playing is bluesy and emotionally rich—traces its roots to 1960s–70s rock and blues, yet is reconstructed with a contemporary sensibility into something entirely their own. Formed in 2007, they debuted commercially in 2014. In addition to handling numerous high-profile projects, including the theme song 'Give Me Anger' for the film One Piece Film Gold, they have demonstrated their talent through songwriting for a wide range of artists. In 2024 they celebrated their 10th anniversary since debut, and on March 25, 2026 they will release a new album, Éclore, with a nationwide tour planned to accompany it; they arrive at Billboard Live Tokyo with great anticipation.
