Charan Po LanTan, a sister duo formed by younger sister Momo (vocals), born in the Heisei era, and older sister Koharu (accordion), born in the Showa era. They formed in 2009 when the elder sister was a street performer and the younger sister was in high school, and made their major debut in 2014. Centered on Balkan music and chanson, they cross a wide range of genres with a cosmopolitan sound and a circus-like, unique worldview, expanding their activities both domestically and internationally. In 2016, their opening theme for the TV drama Nigeru wa Haji da ga Yaku ni Tatsu, “Susume, tamani nigete mo,” drew attention and propelled them into the spotlight. In recent years, they have broadened their activities further, running their own label and producing instruments. They will appear at Billboard Live for the second time since 2021, as their one-of-a-kind, ever-evolving entertainment returns to the stage.
